A year ago I didn’t know the difference between a widget and a digit. I thought URL was some dude named Earl. And blogging sounded like something you did in the snow. Today, well, I still don’t really know what a widget is, but I am a huge fan of blogging. I also know that URL is not the guy next door.
Robert and I attended the Blogher ’08 conference in San Francisco and came back with a plethora of knowledge. The one thing that stood out to me while we were there was that bloggers write about what they believe in, what they love, how they live. And they do it with passion. One of our favorite sessions was with Elise Bauer on Building Traffic. She was both entertaining and very informative. I also enjoyed my very first session -Is Mommy Blogging Still a Radical Act? with Lindsay of Suburban Turmoil, Polly of Lesbian Dad, Maria of Immoral Matriarch, and Charlene Li. Amazing women with some great (and comical) advice for a new blogger like myself.
So I return home with excitement and anticipation (and an awesome new denim jacket because it was freezing in San Francisco) ready to begin this new blogging adventure. I hope you’ll continue to visit us. Until next time……

Glad you could make it- and that you enjoyed the panel. I thought the panelists I got to “interview” were AMAZING.
